Do you ever feel invisible? Do you know of a wonderful community leader, unsung hero, hard-working organization that no one knows about? Do you have something you’d really like to share with the world, but you don’t know how to get it out there?
Indigenous City Media is dedicated to helping you share your story. We all have something to say. The truth is, not all of us are reflected in the stories of our society, our city, our country.
There are so many people working hard to help others, to improve the way humans live. But we don’t get heard. We don’t get the same airplay as those popular reality shows, or those cute/scandalous videos with millions of hits.
If only people could hear this story, then maybe they would understand my community better. If only this organization could have a bigger profile, then people would contribute more to support the important work they do.
It all comes down to STORY, and VOICE, and BEING HEARD.
I can help you tell your story.
For the past 15 years, I have been dedicated to helping people have a voice. I have worked with street involved youth, Aboriginal communities, non-profits, and many others. I create videos, I write, I put together brochures, I advocate for different groups to help them be heard amongst all the clutter.
If you have a small budget, I can help you create something beautiful–do the best with what you have. If you don’t know what your story is, or how to tell it, I can help you get clarity, and find the best format.
Together we can make our storyscapes more inclusive, more reflective of the true diversity of folks who live in our world. To learn more about the work I have done, and the things I write about, visit About.
I would be honoured to help you tell your story.
All my relations,
Kamala Jasmine
